On December 22, 1999 Dragon Tales Publishing, the Dream Dragon, the Kids Cancer Connection and the Orange County Ronald McDonald House came together for a night of Gift Giving and Story Reading!

On December 22, 1999 Dragon Tales Publishing, the Dream Dragon, the Kids Cancer Connection and the Orange County Ronald McDonald House came together for a night of Gift Giving and Story Reading! Some very special kids attended a private party held at the Orange County Ronald McDonald House on December 22, 1999. These children have been diagnosed with cancer, some are in remission and others are currently in treatment. To help these special kids enjoy the Holiday Season a night of gift giving and story reading was scheduled. The kids were joined by the staff of the Orange County Ronald McDonald House, the kids Cancer Connection and Dragon Tales Publishing and, of course, their loving families. In fact Santa, himself, made an appearance to distribute gifts and read the new Dream Dragon picture book to all of the kids. Dragon Tales Publishing illustrator, Mike Kurrle, was on hand to draw pictures of the kids with the Dream Dragon. Each child received a complete Dream Dragon picture book package as a Christmas gift. The night was filled with music, stories, good food and fun. All those that were there agreed that the event was a complete success!!
