A 5 star book for children young and old!
Review by T. Brown, California

I am highly impressed with the quality of the book! It is a beautifully bound hardback childrens book with thick pages, brilliant illustrations and large, easy to read print.

The story is an enchanting tale of a child who drifts off to sleep and is befriended by the Dream Dragon. They set off for fun and adventure.

TheDream Dragon website (www.dragon4kids.com) is marvelously entertaining, with tips for fun and safety. Also included with my purchase was an audiocassette with the story put to music in both a fast, daytime version and a slow, nighttime version. The story on the tape is narrated by Geoffrey Holder (the deep-voiced actor we all know from the 7-UP commercials.)

This book is a MUST for any collection, and I await the authors’ next publication!

A New Bedtime Favorite!
Review by Debbie from Maryland

This is a wonderful book for children of all ages. In the story, you are introduced to the Dream Dragon, who has come to Dreamland to protect children from nightmares. I read this book to my 5 yr old, who absolutely adored it! She's just learning to read, and was able to follow along. She laughed at the Dream Dragon's silly antics, was mesmerized by the adorable illustrations, and demanded that I read it over and over and over... This will become your child's favorite bedtime story!

Delights the child within each of us!
Review by J. Collins, California

Dream Time Friend, a new first-in-series book by Nyle Steck, delights the child within each of us! This book depicts the Dreamland antics of the playful purple Dream Dragon, as told through the eyes of a child. It is beautifully illustrated in full color and appears to be readable even by beginners. It made me smile and recall fond memories of Peter Pan, Santa Claus, and other magical characters as I read it.

What makes this book a special value is that it comes bundled with a "Read-A-Long & Sing-A-Song" audio cassette narrated by Geoffrey Holder, who also is the voice of Dream Dragon. As I recall, Geoffrey had a leading role in the movie version of Annie and was the voice for the 7-UP commercial with the memorable deep-voiced: "Ha-Ha-Ha" which seems to have become his trademark. He has the perfect voice for the Dream Dragon. Geoffrey's melodious, enchanting voice warms the heart as he sings the Mystical Dream song and
then encourages joining him in the read-a-long-story, with chime prompts for the child to turn the page as he or she reads along in the Dream Time Friend book.

The flip side of the cassette features the Dream Time Friend Music sing-a-long daytime and bedtime songs. Nyle's lyrics are  brought to life by composer/singer Mike Kurrle, who plays the guitar accompaniment and sings the songs.  A note was included in the package stating that a portion of the purchase would go to the Nicole Brown Charitable Foundation and the Kids Cancer Connection. Furthermore, two brochures were enclosed, explaining child safety programs sponsored by the National Law Enforcement & Security Institute: "The Dream Dragon Safety Squad Program" as well as "The Dream Dragon National Children's Information Registry (NCIR)".

Hey, I almost forgot! I got a free purple pencil that says "("I'm A Dreamer") Dream Dragon", along with an issue of the Dream Dragon Seasonal Newsletter, The Dreamland Times.  A grandmother friend of mine and I listened to the cassette a couple of times; she commented that her grandkids would LOVE it!

I hope to see more in a series of these books and tapes in coming months, as will many eager kids no doubt!
